If you require transcription of only certain parts of your audio file, we can accommodate your needs. Please follow the steps below to ensure we transcribe only the specific excerpts you want:
Upload the Full Audio File
-
Upload the Entire Audio: When creating your transcription job, upload the full audio file, even if you only need parts of it transcribed.
-
Why Upload the Full File?: Providing the complete file ensures there are no issues with file integrity and allows our team to access the exact segments you need without any compatibility problems.
Specify Timestamp Ranges in the Notes Section
-
Use the Notes Section: In the "Notes" section of the job submission form, clearly indicate the exact timestamp ranges of the excerpts you want transcribed.
-
How to Format Timestamps:
- Specify the start and end times in hours:minutes:seconds format.
- Example: "Please transcribe from 00:15:30 to 00:20:45 and from 01:05:10 to 01:12:00."
-
Multiple Excerpts: If you have multiple excerpts, list each timestamp range separately to avoid confusion.
Understanding Estimates and Billing
-
Instant Estimate Calculation:
- The instant estimate generated during job creation will be based on the total duration of the media file you uploaded.
- This is an automated calculation and may not reflect the actual portions you want transcribed.
-
Final Invoice Adjustment:
- Your final invoice will be adjusted to reflect the actual duration of the excerpts you've requested.
- Accurate Billing: You will only be charged for the total length of the specified excerpts, not the full media file.
Example Scenario:
- Total Media Length: 2 hours of audio uploaded.
- Requested Excerpts:
- Excerpt 1: 00:10:00 to 00:20:00 (10 minutes)
- Excerpt 2: 01:30:00 to 01:40:00 (10 minutes)
- Total Excerpt Length: 20 minutes.
- Billing: You will be billed for the pages generated from 20 minutes of transcription, not the full 2 hours.
