Generating an instant estimate for your transcription job is a straightforward process that helps you understand the expected cost and delivery time before proceeding. Follow these steps to create an accurate estimate:
Step 1: Log In to Your Account
Begin by logging into your account (or registering an account) on our transcription portal.
Step 2: Click "Create Job"
Once you're logged in, navigate to your dashboard or the main menu and click on the "Create Job" button. This will initiate the process of submitting a new transcription job.
Step 3: Fill Out Job Details
Provide all the relevant job details as accurately as possible. This includes information like the case name, case number, date of proceeding, and any other specifics related to your transcription needs. Accurate details ensure that the estimate you receive is precise.
Step 4: Upload Related Attachments
If you have any supporting documents, such as spelling lists or reference materials, upload them in this step. These attachments help our transcriptionists deliver a more accurate and tailored transcript.
Step 5: Upload Media Files
Upload the media files that need to be transcribed. You can upload up to 5 files, each up to 2GB in size. Accepted formats include common media types, but if you're uploading files like .wma, .zip, or .trm, which may not be directly readable, please be aware of the next sub-step.
If Using Physical Media
If you're mailing or hand-delivering media, select the "Physical Media" option. You'll be prompted to provide the total audio length of the media you're providing. This information is crucial for generating an accurate estimate.
Unreadable Media Formats
If the media you're uploading cannot be read by our system (such as .wma, .zip, or .trm files), you'll be asked to manually enter the total audio length. Providing the exact duration ensures that the estimate reflects the actual scope of work.
Step 6: Select Your Delivery Method
Choose how you'd like to receive your completed transcript. Options may include digital download, physical copies, or both. Selecting the preferred delivery method helps calculate any additional costs and determines how you'll receive your final transcript.
Step 7: Instant Estimate Generation
After completing the previous steps, an instant estimate will be generated. This estimate includes the price and due by date, allowing you to see the expected cost and turnaround time for your job.
Step 8: Confirm and Submit Your Job
If you're satisfied with the estimate and wish to proceed, click on the "Create Job" button. A confirmation dialog will appear, summarizing your job details and the estimate. Review the information carefully, and if everything looks correct, confirm your order to submit your job for processing.
